PLANTING TOMATOES

JUNE 2026

The woman behind riffhaus

Hi, I am Sandra

Each month, I build a collection around a female musician who moves me. I design each piece with curiosity to make pieces that feel like the music I listen to.

Lucy Dacus is a Virginia-born singer-songwriter known for her quiet, emotionally precise writing and understated indie-folk sound. Alongside her solo work, she is also part of the band boygenius with Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker.

I picked her for this riff because “Planting Tomatoes” feels less like a performance and more like a ritual — tending things gently and hoping they grow.

Tomatoes always find a space in my life.

Bruised tomatoes, overgrown vines, and the strange tenderness of caring for something.

A riff on Lucy Dacus: music that feels like sitting quietly on a screened-in porch while summer changes shape around you.

Come see her with me at MASS MoCA.

Stay weird, Sandra
