The Abyssal Garden is built as a continuous, edge-to-edge surface, with coral structures, drifting forms, and hidden marine life woven into velvet. From a distance, it reads as texture. Up close, it becomes a world.
Small fish, seahorses, and eel-like curves are embedded into the pattern, not placed on top of it. Nothing is immediate. The piece asks to be looked at twice.
The vertical composition pulls the eye downward, deepening from oxidized teal into near-black like descending water, or light fading through depth. On velvet, the surface absorbs and releases light unevenly, giving the pattern a low, shifting presence rather than shine.
It’s not a print you wear for attention. It holds it with pockets.
